Entertainment Desk: Filming for the much-awaited “Peaky Blinders” movie has officially wrapped, as confirmed by series creator Steven Knight. In a recent conversation on The Playlist’s Bingeworthy podcast, Knight revealed, “We finished shooting on December 13.”
He also teased an all-star cast, featuring Barry Keoghan, Tim Roth, Rebecca Ferguson, alongside the returning Cillian Murphy and Stephen Graham. “It’s absolutely staggering,” he remarked, assuring fans they are in for something extraordinary.
Set against the gritty backdrop of post-World War I Birmingham, “Peaky Blinders” carved out a legacy as a gripping crime drama.
The series ran from 2013 to 2022, spanning six seasons, and played a pivotal role in elevating Cillian Murphy’s global profile. While its conclusion left many viewers longing for more, Knight had previously reassured audiences that a film was in the works.
Nearly three years after first teasing the project, Steven Knight reflected on its journey, expressing his desire for fans to experience the film together.
“I want ‘Peaky Blinders’ fans, who have been such a huge part of this, to watch it in the same space,” he shared. “So much of our interaction has been online, but this is something that deserves to be seen in cinemas—where audiences can witness it unfold together.”
