New York: The martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman was observed in Jackson Heights, Queens, New York, through a series of commemorative programs organized by the local residents of the area. Members of the Bangladeshi diaspora community participated in various events throughout the day to pay their respects.
From early morning, a noticeable presence of expatriates was seen at the venue. The atmosphere was solemn and respectful, with banners, posters, and memorial arrangements reflecting the spirit of remembrance.
