President Donald Trump has recently been spending a lot of time with other women amid alleged marital trouble. The billionaire has close relationships with his executive assistant, Natalie Harp, and rapper Nicki Minaj, who has called herself Trump’s “No. 1 fan.”
Speaking of Minaj, recent speculation has indicated she could become the new White House Press Secretary. Most federal jobs, including those at the White House, require employees to be US citizens-a requirement Minaj doesn’t meet, reportedly unbeknownst to Trump. Minaj was born in Trinidad and Tobago, but she came to the US as a child and was raised in New York.
However, Hollywood insider Rob Shuter reported that Trump likely doesn’t care. “For the president, having a famous supporter singing his praises can be far more valuable than knowing where they were born,” he wrote via his Naughty But Nice Substack.
An insider noted that Trump “loves celebrities who adore him,” adding, “He loves the attention, the photographs and having famous people tell the world how wonderful he is. He isn’t checking passports before deciding who gets his attention.”
Another source echoed this sentiment, claiming Trump “loves having famous people around him, especially celebrities willing to defend him publicly.” Minaj has done that numerous times, and at a recent campaign rally in Michigan, the “Super Bass” rapper said she would support Trump “forever and ever.” She also revealed that she’d endorse him if he decided to run for a third term.
“Nicki brings star power, headlines and another recognizable face willing to stand beside him,” the source explained. “That is exactly the kind of attention he enjoys.”
A separate insider went on to say, “For Trump, celebrity loyalty is currency. If you’re famous and willing to praise him, you’re going to get his attention. He isn’t asking for a passport at the door.”
Trump’s growing bond with Minaj comes shortly after Dr. Tracy King, a clinical psychologist, told The Irish Star that Melania Trump might feel disrespected by her husband.
