Anadolu Agency: The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) filed a lawsuit on Monday challenging the constitutionality of the Trump administration’s efforts to deport Palestinian activists. The lawsuit seeks a nationwide order to stop executive orders that violate scholars’ right to free speech. Filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of New York, the complaint names President Donald Trump, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem as defendants, Jurist News reported.
The group seeks to halt the implementation of two executive orders: 14161, which enforces more rigorous screening and vetting processes for foreign nationals, and 14188, which mandates federal agencies to pursue civil or criminal measures against alleged antisemitism.
