Congress Leader Congratulates Young Protesters, Demands PM Modi Apologise to Students

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has hailed the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan as a major victory for the youth-led movement, congratulating the protesting students and launching a sharp political attack on the Narendra Modi government.
Rahul Gandhi described Pradhan’s resignation as an important “signal” and praised the young protesters for standing up for democracy and the Constitution. He said their movement had sent a message not only to the government but also to farmers, workers and ordinary citizens across the country.
The Congress leader also called for the remaining demands of the protesters to be fulfilled. In particular, he demanded action against police officials accused of assaulting protesters during the march to Parliament.
Gandhi further demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi apologise to the protesting students. He alleged that several young protesters were subjected to police action and mistreatment during the agitation.
His remarks have triggered a fresh political confrontation between the Opposition and the Centre. Gandhi urged young people to remain united and continue their fight to protect democratic institutions and the Constitution.
Pradhan’s resignation came amid growing protests and political pressure over allegations of irregularities in competitive examinations and the NEET paper leak controversy. The Opposition has intensified its demand for accountability and comprehensive reforms in the country’s examination system.
With Pradhan’s resignation and Rahul Gandhi’s latest attack on the government, the political battle over education, examination reforms and student protests is expected to intensify further.
