Before I moved to U.S., my mom and dad used to work day and night to keep the family afloat, leaving me and my two sibling to look after each other. Now that I think about it, looking after each other sounds like a stretch. I wasn’t the sharpest of the three, so I chose arguments over trivial matters, and those trivial matters would build into an actual battle, which is usual among brothers, but man, it felt like I was in my favorite TV show, WWE. One habit I’d like to talk about, and I cannot stress it enough, is lifting one another up.
It sounds easy, yet it is difficult to carry out due to old grudges, etc. Siblings can be friends, therapists, parents, or anything else you want them to be. Another good habit is to confide in them and be more open to them. In this world, it is quite difficult to trust those who, unlike your siblings, may use your vulnerabilities. I wanted to make this short and sweet: for those who are reading, appreciate your siblings and treat them like they are your soulmates.
