Entertainment Desk: After receiving widespread acclaim for his performance at this year’s Academy Awards, Conan O’Brien is set to return as host for the 98th Oscars, scheduled to take place on March 15, 2026.
The announcement was made by Academy CEO Bill Kramer and President Janet Yang, who also confirmed that Emmy-winning producers Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan will oversee the production for the third consecutive year.
Known for his sharp wit, O’Brien quipped about his return, stating, “The only reason I’m hosting the Oscars next year is that I want to hear Adrien Brody finish his speech.” The remark referenced Brody’s record-breaking acceptance speech for “The Brutalist”, which became the longest in Oscar history.
This year’s Academy Awards garnered the highest viewership in five years, attracting 19.69 million viewers. With O’Brien at the helm once again, expectations are high for another entertaining and engaging ceremony.
The 98th Academy Awards will be broadcast live on ABC from the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood.
