Rubaiyat Shabnam Anika, a talented student from Bangladesh, has successfully completed her Master of International Trade (Economics Focus) from Hohai University in China—one of the country’s renowned and historic institutions. She was officially awarded her degree during a grand convocation ceremony held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at the university campus.
This remarkable achievement has brought immense joy and pride to her family, friends, and well-wishers. Through her dedication, hard work, and by the grace of Almighty Allah, Anika has reached this significant international milestone.
Throughout her academic journey, Anika demonstrated exceptional merit. Her thesis, titled “Research on the Impact of Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) on Bangladesh Trade,” focused on a highly relevant and contemporary issue. Using advanced data analysis techniques, she identified key drivers behind the growth of trade between Bangladesh and China. Her research also explored trade patterns, economic cooperation, and policy implications, offering valuable insights that have been widely appreciated in academic circles.
Prior to pursuing her master’s degree in China, Anika completed her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with distinction from Stamford University Bangladesh in Dhaka, where she also showcased her academic excellence.
Her family expressed immense pride in her accomplishment. Notably, Anika is the daughter of renowned Bangladeshi children’s author Humayun Kabir Dhali and distinguished publisher Gulshan Ara Bably.
Speaking on the occasion, her parents said, “Today is one of the happiest and proudest moments of our lives. We are extremely proud of Anika’s hard work and success. We seek everyone’s prayers and blessings for her future journey.”
