Syracuse residents have an opportunity Wednesday night to give feedback on Mayor Sharon Owens’ budget proposal.
There is a public hearing at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall on East Washington Street. Common Council chambers are on the third floor.
Throughout the month, city lawmakers have met publicly with department heads to discuss their requests before voting on the Fiscal Year 2026-27 proposal by May 8.
Owens’ proposal comes in at a little more than $354 million. It features a 4% rise in the water rate, but the city says property taxes will not rise. The full budget can be found on the city website.
