A 5-year-old boy has been hospitalized after being stabbed in Newark on Monday.
The boy’s mother was taken into custody by police, but it is unclear if she will face any charges.
Neighbors said they knew the parents at the apartment, saying they’ve lived there for about two years.
The incident remains under investigation.
