Terrorism seeks to divide. It thrives on hatred, fear, and the illusion that humanity can be split by religion, race, or ideology. The attacks of September 11, 2001, were meant to fracture the world—but in their aftermath, we also witnessed solidarity on a global scale.
Nations mourned together. Strangers comforted one another. The international community stood in unity with the United States, proving that in the face of brutality, compassion endures.
Two decades later, the lesson of 9/11 remains as urgent as ever: we must stand united. Extremism cannot be defeated by violence alone; it must be countered by a stronger vision of peace, cooperation, and respect for human dignity.
On this day of remembrance, let us not only grieve the lives lost, but also strengthen our resolve to protect humanity’s shared values. For the only way to defeat terror is through unity, justice, and love.
