Anadolu: US President Donald Trump’s Russia-Ukraine envoy Keith Kellogg will attend the Ukraine peace talks in London, the State Department said Tuesday.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will not attend the talks Wednesday, spokeswoman Tammy Bruce told reporters.
“While the meetings in London are still occurring, he will not be attending,” said Bruce.
She said Kellogg is in London and he would be having those conversations.
“We look forward to hearing back from him about whether or not we’ve had some success in London,” Bruce added.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Monday that representatives of Ukraine, the UK, France and the US will meet in London to discuss a peaceful settlement of his country’s war with Russia on April 23.
“We are ready to move forward as constructively as possible, just as we have done before, to achieve an unconditional ceasefire, followed by the establishment of a real and lasting peace,” Zelenskyy wrote on X.
