Trump Warns of ‘Enemy From Within,’ Holds Bizarre Town Hall, Harris Calls Him ‘Increasingly Unstable’

Former President Donald Trump put on a strange show during a town hall in Pennsylvania Monday, making song requests and dancing for 30 minutes after his event was derailed by medical incidents among attendees.
Pennsylvania is one of the most important battleground states to win in the presidential election, with both Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris campaigning there on Monday.
But Trump’s town hall went off the rails when two attendees fell ill during the event, which was moderated by South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem.
During the first medical incident in the room, which paused the question-and-answer session, Trump requested “Ave Maria” to be played. During the second medical emergency, Trump walked around and stared into the crowd. He inquired about the possibility of air conditioning or opening the doors. “For security reasons, they can’t,” Trump said of the doors. “But you know what? I should just open them because anybody comes through those doors, you know what’s going to happen to them.”
“Go and vote,” Trump said as he appeared to close down the event. “Let me hear that music please.” But Trump stayed on stage dancing while songs such as Sinead O’Connor’s “Nothing Compares 2 U” and Rufus Wainwright’s cover of “Hallelujah” were pumped through speakers.
The Harris campaign seized on how Trump handled the unplanned events, posting: “Trump appears lost, confused, and frozen on stage as multiple songs play for 30+ minutes and the crowd pours out of the venue early.”
Harris responded: “Hope he’s okay.”
Trump’s Monday town hall followed a Sunday night interview on Fox News, in which he made controversial comments about the “enemy from within” that Democrats have since seized on, with Harris calling him out at her rally on Monday.
Here’s a look at Trump’s comments on Sunday and how Harris responded the following day.

HE SAID/SHE SAID

Trump on the “Enemy From Within”
When asked about the possibility of violence on Election Day by Fox News on Sunday, Trump responded: “I think the bigger problem are the people from within. We have some very bad people. We have some sick people. Radical left lunatics.”
“I think it should be very easily handled by, if necessary, by National Guard, or if really necessary, by the military, because they can’t let that happen,” Trump said after.
“I think the bigger problem is the enemy from within, not even the people that have come in and destroying our country, by the way, totally destroying our country, the towns, the villages, they’re being inundated,” he said.
Harris: Trump “Increasingly Unstable and Unhinged”
“He considers anyone who doesn’t support him or who will not bend to his will an enemy of our country,” Harris said after playing a clip of his comments at her rally in Erie that she said were examples of his “increasingly unstable and unhinged” behavior. “This is among the reasons I believe so strongly that a second Trump term would be a huge risk for America – and dangerous.”
“You heard his words coming from him.
He’s talking about the enemy within Pennsylvania. He’s talking about the enemy within our country, Pennsylvania,” Harris said.
