Zahan Ara Dolon: New York Correspondent: The Premium Group food distribution program has launched in New York City.
Packet foods were distributed in front of a mosque in Ozone Park, a Bangladeshi-dominated area, on Friday (September 16) at noon.
New York State Assemblywoman Jenifer Rajkumar was a guest at the event.
More than a thousand individuals received food in the presence of Jenifer Rajkumar.
The food distribution was aided by Mr. Babu Khan, the CEO of the Premium Group and a community activist; Mr. Fahad Solaiman, the South Asian Affairs Advisor to the Mayor of New York City and a mainstream leader; community activist Mr. Jed Alam Nomi; and many others.
The Premium Group’s CEO, Babu Khan, said that they have been distributing food in New York City for a long time. The program was suspended due to the epidemic. From now on, this program will be held regularly.
