New York, Sept. 26, 2025 — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu faced a dramatic protest at the United Nations General Assembly as hundreds of international delegates walked out during his speech. The mass walkout highlights global controversy over Israel’s military operations in Gaza and the recognition of a Palestinian state.

Background of the Walkout
• Representatives from Arab, African, and European countries left the chamber as Netanyahu began speaking.
• The protest was organized at the urging of Palestinian authorities, who labeled Netanyahu a “war criminal” and called for the withdrawal of international support.

Key Points of Netanyahu’s Speech
• Despite the walkout, Netanyahu continued his address.
• He declared, “Our fight will continue until the war is finished.”
• Netanyahu reaffirmed Israel’s military campaign against Hamas in Gaza.
• He accused Palestinian leadership of refusing to recognize Israel’s existence and instead seeking to establish a Palestinian state.

Message to the People of Gaza
• To deliver his message directly, the Israeli military broadcasted Netanyahu’s speech via loudspeakers along the Gaza border.
• The address was also streamed live to mobile devices across Gaza.

International Reaction
• Netanyahu criticized countries recognizing a Palestinian state, calling it “rewarding terrorists.”
• His remarks sparked widespread international criticism.

Implications
• The speech and mass walkout have complicated ongoing discussions at the UN regarding Palestinian state recognition.
• The events have intensified global debate and tensions, potentially impacting future international relations.
