A 27-year-old Indian student, Chandrasekhar Pole, was shot and killed last night while working at a gas station in Dallas, Texas. He hailed from Hyderabad, India.
Chandrasekhar had completed his undergraduate degree in dental surgery in India and came to the U.S. in 2023 for further studies. He recently finished his master’s degree six months ago. To support himself while searching for full-time employment, he was working part-time at the gas station.
Following the tragedy, his family has appealed to the Indian government for assistance in repatriating his body to India.
Leaders from the BRS party, including legislator Sudheer Reddy and former minister T. Harish Rao, visited Pole’s family in Hyderabad. They described the incident as “tragic” and urged the government to take swift action to bring his remains back to his hometown.
