City and FDNY family mourn deeply — Funeral to be held Saturday at Church of St. Francis de Sales, Belle Harbor

New York: FDNY veteran firefighter Patrick D. Brady is being honored in a final farewell Saturday, after losing his life while responding to a five-alarm fire in Brooklyn’s East Flats.
Brady experienced a sudden cardiac incident while on the roof during firefighting operations. Fellow firefighters and EMS teams responded immediately and transported him to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, but he was pronounced dead.
Brady had served with the FDNY since 2014, initially with Engine 227 and later with Ladder 120. His two brothers, Jimmy and Brian, along with other family members, are also FDNY personnel.
