The Telegraph: Donald Trump used a second uncensored speech after retaking the presidency on Monday to attack Joe Biden for pardoning his political enemies before leaving office.
The newly-inaugurated president, 78, criticised his predecessor for a slew of last-minute presidential pardons, which included several members of his own family and members of the January 6 committee that investigated the Capitol riots.
After his inaugural speech in the Capitol’s rotunda, the president spoke again, telling his supporters he was sharing material he had been instructed to remove from his first speech.
“I was going to talk about the things that Joe did today with the pardons of people that were very, very guilty of very bad crimes,” he said, describing Liz Cheney and Gen Mike Milley as “a lunatic” and “terrible”
He later repeated his claim that the 2020 election was “rigged”.
Mr Trump will now partake in a luncheon at the Capitol before conducting the president’s review of his troops as the new military commander in chief.
The President will then head to Washington’s Capital One Arena to attend the inaugural parade, which was moved inside because of freezing conditions.
