WABC: Columbia University disciplined more than 70 students on Tuesday over anti-Israel protests that took over Butler Library earlier this year and Alumni Weekend last spring.
Most of the students received two-year suspensions or expulsions in the first punishments meted out by the Provost’s Office, which took over the responsibility as part of the university’s reforms as the Trump administration is withholding $400 million in federal grants.
Columbia and the administration have been trying to work out a deal to restore the funding.
