The Generation Desk: Bangladeshi-born Shakib Jamal has been named in the 2024 list of ‘Prestigious Under 30 North America’ published by the world-famous magazine ‘Forbes’. He has been included in the list of Venture Capital (startup investment firm) category.

Every year, Forbes prepares the ‘Under 30’ list of the top 30 youths worldwide who hold influential and promising roles in various fields including business, technology, and arts. The youths appearing on this list should be less than 30 years old.

According to Forbes, Sakib Jamal has been instrumental in the firm’s rapid growth since joining Crossbeam Venture Partners as an employee in 2020. Since then, the firm’s two main funds have added up to $280 million in profits over the past three years – with Sakib Jamal leading the charge.

Sakib Jamal was directly involved in nine of Crossbeam Venture’s investments. Besides, he has played an important role in 14 other investments. He was promoted to Vice President of the firm in June 2023 in recognition of his efficiency and dedication to work.

Born in Bangladesh, Sakib Jamal moved to the United States after completing high school in the country. He received his bachelor’s degree from Cornell University there.

Sakib Jamal, who is currently living in the United States, is also working to help school-going children in Bangladesh.

Sakib Jamal was also on Crain’s New York Business ‘20 Under 20’ list earlier this year.
