Entertainment Desk: Bangladeshi Popular singer Khalid has passed away at a private hospital in the capital. He was 56.
He breathed his last on Monday (March 18) night at Comfort Hospital in Panthapath, said lyricist and composer Prince Mahmud.
Khalid gained fame in the 1980s and 1990s for his popular songs. He was the vocalist of the band ‘Chime’. He joined the band in 1983.
Khalid is best known for his songs ‘Shorolotar Protima’, ‘Jotota Megh Hole Brishti Name’, ‘Kono Karonei Ferano Gelo Na Take’, ‘Hoyni Jabar O Bela’, ‘Jodi Himaloy Hoye Dukkho Ashe’, and ‘Tumi Nei Tai’.
He was born in Gopalganj. This artist of the golden days entered the world of music in 1981.
