Queens, New York – Husneara Choudhury, Co-Founder of Shah Group and Editor of Deshkal, has been recognized by the New York State Assembly for her outstanding contributions in entrepreneurship and community leadership.
On August 15, during a Blood Drive organized by the Shah Group, Assemblymember Steven B. Raga formally presented the honor to her.
The citation noted that Husneara Choudhury’s leadership is distinguished not only by business excellence but also by her commitment to social responsibility, humanitarian values, and dedicated service to the community.
As Co-Founder of the Shah Foundation, she has made significant contributions in education, healthcare, disaster relief, child welfare, women’s empowerment, and the advancement of immigrant communities. In particular, during the COVID-19 pandemic, her compassionate leadership became a source of hope and relief for many.
She has also been actively involved in various Shah Group ventures—Ruposhi Bangla, Bangla Channel, Hindustan Surkhiyan, Anushwar, Hope & Dream Realty, and Third Eye Production—ensuring that business growth and cultural enrichment progress together.
Assemblymember Raga remarked, “We have an outstanding individual, worthy of the esteem of the community and the great State of New York.”
Reflecting on her guiding philosophy, Husneara Choudhury said:
