Impartiality and simplicity are the greatest beauty of a truly developed human being.
The above sentence is true in the case of the famous children’s writer Humayun Kabir Dhali of Bangladesh. As simple as Humayun is, the writer Humayun is also. He has won the hearts of children and teenagers with his simple and fluent language and sentences. Not only in Bangladesh, but also in several states of India including West Bengal and Tripura. Dhali’s writings and books have been published in Odia, Hindi and Assamese apart from Bangladesh.
His children’s story ‘A cowboy and a magic mango tree’ is now being read in a class by students of a school in Greece. I have read this book. I have read the story in a very fluent language for children. There is an ideal hidden in the story. The ideal of honesty.
He has won many awards at the national and international levels for his writing skills and quality.
He is a natural lover of children for his noble heart. Children also love him very much.
He is such a popular children’s writer that he is happily ranked among the top writers in Bangladesh. He tries his best to maintain communal harmony.
I am very proud to meet him in a coffee house in Kolkata in the last year of Covid. I feel good to think that Humayun Kabir Dhali is my friend. Let’s talk to him.
He is also quite popular among expatriate Bengalis in America.
He participates in various book fairs in America every year. He is present at book fairs and literary events in different countries. He speaks on behalf of children. Yet, he has never left his simplicity and honesty from his life since birth till today. My respect and love for his great personality and writing skills.
