WABC: A woman is in critical condition after she fell onto subway tracks and was struck by a train in Queens on Monday, according to police.
It happened just before 5 p.m. at Broadway and 74th Street in Jackson Heights. Police say a 23-year-old woman fell onto the tracks at the location and was struck by an incoming train.
She was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in serious condition.
Police say the investigation is ongoing, but no criminality is expected.
The incident disrupted some service to the No. 7 train during the height of the evening rush, and as fans made their way to the New York Mets game.
No. 7 train service between Queensboro Plaza and Flushing-Main Street had been suspended but has since resumed.
However, service is running with delays in both directions.
