Anadolu Agency: US President-elect Donald Trump on Monday named his picks for ambassadors for Japan, the Dominican Republic, Austria, Luxembourg and Uruguay.
“I am pleased to announce George Edward Glass as our next United States Ambassador to Japan,” said Trump on Truth Social. Glass served as ambassador to Portugal during Trump’s first term.
“As a former President of an Investment Bank, George will bring his business acumen to the Ambassador’s position. George graduated from the University of Oregon, served as Alumni President, and on its Board of Trustees. He will always PUT AMERICA FIRST. Congratulations George!” Trump wrote.
For the Dominican Republic, the president-elect announced Leah Francis Campos to serve as the next ambassador.
“Leah served our Country as a CIA Case Officer before becoming Senior Advisor for the Western Hemisphere on the House Foreign Affairs Committee,” said Trump.
Also, Trump expressed his intention to nominate Arthur Graham Fisher as the next ambassador to Austria.
For Luxembourg, Trump is nominating Stacey Feinberg as the next ambassador. Trump also announced the nomination of Lou Rinaldi to serve as the next ambassador to Uruguay.
All nominees require Senate confirmation to assume office. Trump will begin his second term on Jan. 20.
