By Zaha Ara Dolon: The musical play ‘Hasonjaner Raja,’ based on the Bengali mystic poet Hason Raja, is going to be staged. The Washington-based theatre troupe ‘Ektara’ is slated to perform the play at the Jamaica Performing Arts Centre in New York on October 1.
This was announced at a press conference held on August 30 in Jackson Heights by the Ektara Theatre troupe.
‘Hasonjaner Raja’ is written by Shakoor Majid. Sk. Milon directed the piece for the Ektara Theatre troupe.
At the press conference, Sk. Milon stated that 42 actors will participate in this two-hour show. Khairul Bhuiyan Pawan will be in charge of the overall management of staging the show in New York. Ticket prices range from $20 to $100 per audience.

Before the press briefing, Mir Nizamul Haque, Shah J. Choudhury, Abdur Rahim Badsha, Anisul Kabir Jasir, Lutfar Rahman Babu, Ashraf Hossain, and Mohiuddin Dewan discussed the Hasonjaner Raja show. The event was conducted by Shibbir Ahmed, a member of the organising committee.
