New York: SUST Alumni Association of USA Inc. an organization of former students of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST, Bangladesh) residing in the United States. The general meeting was held on Sunday (November 5).
A press release said, More than 50 former students of Bangladeshi origin are organized by ex- students at Jalalabad Building in Astoria. In that meeting, a full-fledged executive committee consisting of 21 members was formed with Belayet Hussain Chowdhury, a former student of the university, as the president and Syed Jabedul Munir as the general secretary.
The other members of the newly formed executive committee are – Ahmedur Rahman Roni, Humara Sultana, Alamgir Hossan as Vice president, Mahbub Ahmed Masum as Joint secretary, Azhar Ahmed as Treasurer, Mohammad Shafiqul Islam as assistant Treasurer, Organizational secretary Md Moinul Hossain Babu, Assistant organizing secretary Sadikur Rahman Sufia, Publicity and publication secretary Shikandar Haque, Cultural ecretary Shakir Hossain, Women’s secretary Farhana Islam, Office secretary Tasfiq Rahman and as executive members – Alauddin Bhuiyan, Asim Kumar Sarkar, Miskat Jahan Nishu, Naznin Akther Mousumi, A K M Ileas, Omar Shoaib and Ahmed Fahad.
