New York Knicks Defeat Spurs in Game 5 to Win NBA Championship

The New York Knicks have finally made history. In Game 5 of the NBA Finals, they defeated the San Antonio Spurs 94–90, winning the series 4–1 and capturing the NBA Championship. It marks the franchise’s first title since 1973.

When the final buzzer sounded, it was not just the end of a game—it was the end of a 53-year wait.

Game 5: Pressure, Discipline, and Control

Game 5 was highly competitive from the start. Playing at home, the Spurs came out aggressively, trying to extend the series with energy and pace.
