Social Media has changed our lives completely. Today every other person is on social media and that person has gotten affected by it one way or another. Social Media has an impact on us both positively and negatively, because it has a good side and a bad side. It has a lot of risks but if you use it the right way you will see a lot of benefits and positive things. You might even find help and support during hard times of your life. Social Media is different for everyone.

Social Media is a place where there is help available 24/7 from all around the world. ”I’m having a really hard time right now.” she posted on Facebook. “Is there anyone I can call and talk to until I feel better?” Almost immediately, three people responded with offers to talk.” The quote above shows that social media will help you whenever you want no matter day or night. It connects people virtually to be there for each other. It really brings people together during tough and great times. But on the other hand teenagers are at high risk of cyberbullying when they are on social media. “Social media can drive envy and enable cyberbullying. It can make things harder for people who struggle with a mental illness.” This quote explains that envy can sometimes lead to cyberbullying on social media and how cyberbullying can greatly affect teenagers who suffer from a mental illness. Covid-19 had a huge negative effect on everyone. But social media has helped many during the pandemic, it brought everyone together during the most difficult times of our lives. “At the beginning of quarantine, Kennedy used social media as a place to find emotional support and encouragement.” This quote tells us how some people went on social media for help and support during hard times. Social Media can be beneficial to many because it is a place where people can digitally connect with people and support each other worldwide. “It can help them find social support when they are struggling with life issues, and it can provide them with a place where they can express themselves. Some teens are able to build real friendships with people they only know through social media.” The quote above shows how people connect from all over the world and express themselves through social media. Social Media can also help you with your struggles, to relate and maybe even help someone else.

Social Media has consumed this generation’s teens. It has affected half of the teenagers in every way possible. Social Media has both good and bad sides to it, but if we use it correctly we can make a positive impact. It can help people in need of support when there is no other way to get it. It can build strong relations and a strong support system within people. It can have a good cause.
