Body Found at Jamaica Hospital After Five Days Missing

NEW YORK: Kazi Azizul Haque Khokon, president of the U.S. Labor League and a well-known and respected member of the Bangladeshi-American community in New York, has died.

Khokon had been missing for five days before his body was found at Jamaica Hospital in Queens. His sudden and heartbreaking death has cast a deep shadow of grief over the Bangladeshi-American community across New York and beyond.

According to family and local sources, Khokon had been living in the United States for more than two decades. He was actively involved in Labor League activities from the early years of his political life and continued to serve as president of the U.S. Labor League until his death.

News of his passing has deeply saddened his family, friends, colleagues and community members. Relatives and well-wishers have prayed for the eternal peace and forgiveness of his soul, asking Almighty Allah to accept his good deeds, grant him the highest place in Jannatul Ferdous and give his grieving family strength and patience during this difficult time.

Community Mourns

Leaders and activists from various political, social and community organizations have expressed deep sorrow over Khokon’s death.

Leaders of the U.S. Awami League, U.S. Metropolitan Awami League, Jubo League, Mohila League, Swechhasebak League and Chhatra League, among others, have conveyed their condolences to the bereaved family.

Leaders of the Jackson Heights community, Bangladesh Society and prominent figures from various social and cultural organizations across New York have also expressed their grief and extended their sympathies to Khokon’s family.

For more than two decades, Khokon remained connected with the Bangladeshi-American community and was known to many as a familiar face and active community organizer. His sudden passing leaves a profound sense of loss among his family, friends and the wider community.

Our organization expresses profound grief and deepest condolences over the sudden passing of Kazi Azizul Haque Khokon. His death is a significant loss to his family and to the Bangladeshi-American community, where he was known as a familiar and dedicated community figure.

We pray that Almighty Allah grants him forgiveness and the highest place in Jannatul Ferdous, accepts his good deeds, and gives his family and loved ones the strength and patience to endure this irreparable loss.
