Page Six reported that details of the proposal remain private, but sources said the book would cover Leavitt’s tenure as White House press secretary. Leavitt left the role in August to spend more time with her husband, Nicholas Riccio, and their children. She later returned to her previous work with MAGA Inc., a pro-Trump political action committee. The White House has not yet announced her replacement.
Leavitt has already shared some stories about her time around the White House press corps. During Sean Hannity’s podcast, she said some reporters apologized to her privately after asking questions they felt their bosses wanted them to ask. “They know it’s an unfair question,” Leavitt said, adding that editors and executives can influence reporters’ jobs. Her comments added to interest in what a future book could reveal.
She also shared an account of a private lunch involving Trump and former British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Leavitt said Trump criticized Starmer’s policies during the meeting and told him, “Your policies here are so stupid, you need to close your borders.” She recalled looking at Stephen Miller as Trump continued, saying, “Oh boy, here we go.”
